We asked Maria how marketing professionals can use LinkedIn to enhance their professional effectiveness

Get proactive about prospecting: Even with a free LinkedIn account, you can mine LinkedIn to find your ideal prospects within 100 miles of your ZIP code. Once completed, you can save that search and LinkedIn will automatically run it either weekly or monthly and then email you the new search results. Essentially, your prospecting gets put on auto-pilot!

Maximize LinkedIn updates: Consider posting a short update three to five times per week to increase your visibility. Updates can be your original content, curated content or an event announcement. Long-form posts, on the other hand, enable you to share your expertise through content you’ve written yourself. These long-form posts become part of your LinkedIn profile, showcasing your expertise and writing style.
