Wiz Khalifa’s Unisex Clothing Collection to Debut at Made L.A. [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
After collaborating on a handful of past fashion projects, including a kidswear collection with Junk Food, Wiz Khalifa is trying is hand at a unisex clothing line, which will debut June 10 at Made L.A. Khalifa teamed up with Los Angeles-based streetwear labels 424 and Pleasures on the capsule; details, including price and the range of pieces, have not been released. Following the collection’s debut, the pieces will be available online as well as at Made L.A.’s Shop Small bazaar within the event.
IMG Is Launching Fashion Camp for Kids [IMG Academy]
Sports, entertainment and fashion marketing behemoth IMG is launching its very own fashion camp for teens age 14-18, and bringing in the heavyweights to lead seminars at the weeklong program in Bradenton, Fla. Jasmine Tookes, Ashley Graham and Lily Aldridge have all signed on to speak about their experiences in the industry, as have IMG Models president Ivan Bart and Marie Claire senior editor/TV personality Zanna Roberts Rassi. A range of topics, from fashion photography to styling to editing, will be covered at the camp, which is set to run July 30-Aug. 5 and costs $2,550.

Olivier Rousteing, creative director of Balmain, has been tapped by the Paris Opera to design costumes for an upcoming show called “Renaissance,” which will be performed by rising talent between June 13 and 18. Rousteing is best known for bedazzled, curve-hugging looks beloved by the Kardashians, so his pivot to the world of ballet is a surprising one. “I feel so proud and honored to design the costumes for the French ballet,” said Rousteing. “It’s an incredible experience to be part of the designers that contribute to French culture [sic].”
Alex and Ani Jewelry Founder Covers Forbes‘ Richest Self-Made Women Issue [Pret-a-Reporter Inbox]
Carolyn Rafaelian, founder of Alex and Ani Jewelry, landed the cover of Forbes‘ third annual America’s Richest Self-Made Women issue. Alex and Ani, launched in 2004, is known for its cult-favorite bangle charm bracelets. The brand is currently valued at $1 billion, and possibly looking into a future IPO; Rafaelian herself is the richest jeweler in the U.S. Kim Kardashian covered last year’s issue.
