Arc Stories director Taylor Robinson is a storyteller by vocation and avocation. He found inspiration in Billy Joel's "The Stranger," "Jaws" and the Bible, especially the book of Ecclesiastes.

Storytelling helps us understand one another. That's one of my core beliefs, and I'm in good company.

Taylor Robinson dedicates much of his life to the art of storytelling, both as a filmmaker at Six Foot Five Productions and as director of Arc Stories. Robinson and a friend founded Arc Stories in late 2010, and the live storytelling event now plays to standing-room-only crowds.

Robinson is this week's guest on Triple Take, the podcast where we talk to interesting people about the book, album and film that shaped them. His answers--the Bible, Billy Joel's "The Stranger" and "Jaws"--offer insight into how he became so passionate about story.

The next Arc Stories event, "Go! Fight! Win! Stories about Sports" will be sponsored by AL.com, and it's scheduled for Sept. 17. Learn more on the event's Facebook page. Want to tell a story? Submit yours through the story portal at arcstories.com.
