Princess Diana’s Wise Words Are so Relevant 20 Years After Her Death

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Princess Diana died. Most of us remember where we were on Aug. 31, 1997, when news of the beloved Princess’ death hit the media — her early demise was that earth-shattering. And though it’s been decades since she walked the Earth, Diana is far from forgotten.

Obviously, her legacy lives on in her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. In 2016, Harry opened up about losing his mother at the age of 12, saying, “When she died, there was a gaping hole, not just for us, but also for a huge amount of people across the world. If I can try and fill a very small part of that, then job done. I will have to, in a good way, spend the rest of my life trying to fill that void as much as possible. And so will William.”

The Princes are doing their part to make sure their mother’s memory lives on, but Princess Diana is doing a good job keeping herself here in spirit as well. Through her timeless words, she will live on forever.

Here are some of our favorite Princess Diana quotes.
