But how will the holiday affect your benefit payments?
When are my benefits normally paid?
Here's what you need to know...
Basic State Pension: Every 4 weeks
Child Benefit: Every 4 weeks (except single parents, who are normally paid weekly)
Disability Living Allowance: Every 4 weeks
Jobseeker's Allowance: Every 2 weeks
Pension Credit: Every 4 weeks
Tax Credits: Every 4 weeks, or weekly (depending on your preference)
Universal Credit: Monthly
Attendance Allowance: Every 4 weeks
Carer's Allowance: Weekly in advance, or every 4-13 weeks
Employment and Support Allowance: Every 2 weeks
Personal Independence Payment: Every 4 weeks
Most benefits are paid on a Monday or Tuesday - with the cash normally going straight into your bank or building society.

When are benefits paid on a Bank Holiday?
According to the gov.uk website: "If your payment is due on a bank holiday, you’ll be paid on the last working day before the holiday."
This means if your benefits are due to be paid on Monday, August 27, you could have expected to be paid on Friday August 24 instead.
Your benefits would be paid three days early if due on any of these upcoming bank holiday Mondays...

Due date: December 25 (Christmas Day). Payment date: December 21
Due date: December 26 (Boxing Day). Payment date: December 22
