The landing at the Caribbean island of St. Maartens, where planes pass right over people laying on the beach, is one of the coolest sights in aviation. This one almost went terribly wrong.

In this video captured on March 7, a Boeing 737 inbound from Toronto comes in too low and barely avoids crashing into the water. The pilot manages to pull up, fly over the beach, and come around for another pass. This time he sticks the landing.

That's one sighting the beach bar patrons won't soon forget.
