HUNDREDS of tattoo fans flocked to London and stripped down to show off their colourful body art at a huge convention today.
The Great Hall at Alexandra Palace, in Wood Green, north London, was filled with the sounds of needles and heavy with the smell of ink for this year's Great British Tattoo Show.
As well as the tattoo enthusiasts, more than 300 ink artists were there creating new body art and sharing their expertise.
Some of the best tattoo artists in the world - such as Koit, Matina Marinou, Maya Vavoom and Parry Chotipradit - were due to attend the two-day event, which runs until 10pm tonight and continues tomorrow (Sunday).
The high point of the convention is the tattoo contests, and only body art done at the event is eligible. There are 11 categories in total, including the coveted Best In Convention.
