The Buziga Country Club gym muscleman beat nine other contestants in the open men international category

After winning the Germany International Bodybuilding Championships in Siegen, Germany over the weekend, Mr. Kampala Andrew Senoga is fired up to win more international accolades.

The Buziga Country Club gym muscleman beat nine other contestants in the open men international category to win the overall trophy in the 3rd German Natural Body building and Fitness Federation organised event that attracted over 500 contestants in different bodybuilding and fitness classes.

"I think I was more prepared than them. The Europeans are well built genetically but my conditioning, posing and symmetry were better. My wish is now to compete in all major international championships all over the world if I can secure sponsorship," Senoga said on return yesterday.

The 28 year old, beat Artyom Yakhnitsa from Kazakhstani, Christian Russ from Australia and Farshad Fazli from Iran to first place including other contestants from Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Egypt and Lebanon.

The feat won him an invitational pro-card to compete in another competition in Miami, US next month.

An excited UBBFA president Twaha Ddungu and his secretary Richard Ssentongo who picked him from the airport were upbeat about the achievement.

"This goes on to show that we have a lot of potential in this sport and our wish is to have government come on board so that we can send a full team of say ten contestants to the major championships so that we can bring in more medals," Ddungu said.

"We also call on all potential sponsors to support the sport locally so that we can produce more champions," Ddungu added.

With the Mr. Uganda championships also in the offing at Sheraton Hotel of Freedom City in November, Senoga has more opportunities to add on his collection of accolades from the sport this year.
