Spoiler alert! The following contains details from the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead

Even Dave Chappelle isn’t over The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere, but that doesn’t mean he can’t poke fun at it.

As part of his Saturday Night Live hosting debut, Chappelle brought some much-needed levity to the sketch comedy show, reminding us of the moment when the deaths of The Walking Dead characters Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) were the most shocking developments on our TV screens.

In the scene, Chappelle takes on the role of Negan, reenacting the moment the notorious villain took Glenn and Abraham's lives and resurrecting our favorite Chappelle’s Show characters (read: Tyrone Biggums, the Time Haters, Lil Jon and Clayton Bigsby) in the process.

"Bubblegum, bubblegum in a dish. How many pieces do you wish?" Chappelle’s Negan says before pointing his barbed wire-covered baseball bat at Biggums.

"Bubblegum?" Biggums says, scratching his neck. "I’d like two, please. My mouth feels dry."

"Ah, a feisty one," Chappelle’s Negan replies. "I like that."

"Well," Biggums replies, "with all due respect, Mr. Negan, in my line of work when you’re on your knees, they don’t give you bubblegum."
