Reaching out to a wider audience with a click of a button in this technologically advanced day and age is quite convenient. This is one marketing strategy that Pure Fiji knows too well how to use to its full potential.

The manufacturer of body care products was rewarded for their efforts in successfully using the digitally connected world to market its products when they were announced as the winners of Excellence in E-Commerce Award during the 2016 Westpac Prime Minister’s International Business Awards.

The Excellence in E-Commerce Award, sponsored by Vodafone recognised Pure Fiji for successful e-commerce approaches to marketing products or services internationally.

One of the company directors, Andree Austin said their hard work in marketing their products globally had paid off.

“We are very excited to win this Award. E- Commerce is definitely proving to be a very important revenue stream for the company,” Ms Austin said.

“We are able to reach more consumers through online shopping. Social networking sites such as Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram are very heavily involved in our marketing strategies.”

The company has five online stores in Australia, New Zealand, United States, Europe and Korea that helps them take their products to any part of the world.

“Going forward, we would definitely like to grow in our e-commerce area. E-commerce is a very integral part of our expansion plan,” Ms Austin added.

“All the social media platforms are driving people to our web stores. We are seeing the increase in consumers every single year.

“ We have seen the biggest increase this year because we got more involved in Pinterest as well as Instagram and Facebook which is driving lot of consumers.”

Given Fiji’s remote location from major trading hubs of the world, Ms Austin said embracing e-commerce will be a win- win situation for businesses.
